- Matt has more than 25 years’ experience in transaction banking, with deep expertise in payments transformation and financial crime compliance. He has held senior leadership roles across major financial institutions, including leading first-line transaction screening at HSBC, where he drove innovation in screening operations, filter management, and regulatory effectiveness. He later led Financial Crime Compliance Strategy at Swift, overseeing industry initiatives to strengthen the financial crime landscape along with helping shape Swift’s AI and data strategy. Matt is currently Group Head of Sanctions at Barclays.
