James is an experienced non-financial risk practitioner and has been appointed as Co-Director of 1LoD. In his previous role, he was a Director at HSBC within the Global Banking & Markets Non-Financial Risk function. Starting as a Management Consultant at Accenture, he has subsequently led NFR teams and global programmes at financial institutions including Barclays, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.
